The bartender, my server, is a sweetheart. Either that or she plays the part very well. Kind, thoughtful, pays attention, speaks well, courteous. As I reflect, I believe she may be the best server I have dealt with to date in airport restaurants.

Ethiopian restaurants are comparatively uncommon in the US so it strikes me odd that a 5 block stretch of E Colfax has something like 10 Ethiopian restaurants. Why I chose Axum among all of them now escapes me.

Casey's on an early Monday night seems popular with a fairly constant flow of customers. I wasn't expecting Casey's to be as busy as it was early in the evening.

The staff appeared pleasant and cordial.

Tables is a neighborhood restaurant that does very little if any advertising or social media. How do people find it? Word of mouth, walk ups. However it gets it's customers, it does and it is evident this Wednesday night.  The prices reflect the customers that dine here. Older, settled in, richer, middle of the road, non-hip.

I walk into a restaurants, I should anticipate the type of people likely to be present. In this case, I got it spot on. Middle middle class with some money and what most Americans use to aspire to be and have. That's the customers here.

Raspberry and Pistachio Popster is a pricey Pop Tart. It's fresher with a quality that far exceeds stale cardboard flavored Pop Tart but it's also on another level of sweet.  The difference doesn't justify the sticker price.  3 stars.

I walked in with the thought that Jim's is a counter service maybe fast casual small to medium sized establishment. Instead, it's sized about the same as Appleby's.

The waiter tells me they do Alabama style BBQ.  I've had Gibson's in Georgia so my mind automatic synchronizes with that style, right or wrong.
