Casey's on an early Monday night seems
popular with a fairly constant flow of customers. I wasn't expecting
Casey's to be as busy as it was early in the evening.
The staff appeared pleasant and cordial.
Irish Whiskey Chicken & Mushroom is supposedly flamed in whiskey but I couldn't taste it. I could have been masked by the delicious comforting cream and mushroom or it could have been masked by the light coating on the chicken which is equally excellent. The chicken is thoroughly cooked through but without the stringy dryness. Maybe it had soaked in a brine solution as it had some springiness to it. Whatever the technique, it is a thoroughly enjoyable chicken.
The boiled vegetables are unseasoned but totally OK attempting to cut down on sodium on the road, no not road salt. The rice pilaf is mildly season so I feel good eating that too.
