Ortega Burger with Buffalo ordered medium. I lack a discerning tongue that can distinguish between beef and buffalo. The patty arrived medium as promised pink in the middle but the patty lacked juiciness. It wasn't dry or objectionable but lacked the bold flavor of beef. The first few bites were filled with smoky grilled goodness until my tongue and nose became quickly de-sensitized. The large slab of green chile pepper was a surprise as I expected a coarsely chopped pile.
The patty was a stomach stretching 1/2 lbs and with an excessive bun to meat ratio, this monster could serve as an entire day's meal. The bun will certainly soak and hold up to excess grease of a fatty mixture of beef but with the lean buffalo, the over engineered bun took away from the experience.
The homemade chip were crispy and lightly salted and complimented the burger.
