Technically this would be considered fast casual but this is the fanciest fast casual place I've been to. Order the food at the counter, get a number, find a table, and in short order, a server will bring your order to you.
48 Hour Slow Cooked Short Rib with baby carrots, whipped potatoes, and crispy pickled onions, and 3-peppercorn hoisin demi glace. Pretty fancy for my pocket book. It tasted Asian but my tongue couldn't determine what it was. Then I read the menu again and said of course, it's the hoisin. The short rib cooked short of the typical American work week was spectacular in tenderness despite being lean. The flavors worked well. The comforting whipped potatoes were well above diner offerings. This was a fantastic dish, all components beautifully and professionally prepared and assembled for a reasonable for fancy restaurant price under $15.
If this dish represents, count me an eager returning visitor.
