I'm still discovering the Denver average man restaurant scene and to me it seems Denver has few BBQ joints per capita for a near south major city.

Burnt Ends. I continue to remain spoiled by the first burnt ends I ate at Pappy's in St Louis. It's my gold standard and every burnt ends I've had since has fallen short. Kitchen Table may offer the second best burnt ends I've had. Burnt ends to me means meat heavily marbled and melt in the mouth good. Here the first piece of burnt end turns out to be a bit rough and dry but subsequent pieces have the desired but not ultimate melt in mouth tenderness. The burnt ends per se are bland and need sauce. After multiple tastings, I settle in on the Kansas City Spicy.

Brisket. The brisket is thin cut about 1/8 to 3/16 inches, way too thin in my book. The brisket is tender and falls apart under it's weight. It's missing the pink smoke ring. I like the tenderness/texture albeit missing interstitial juices. I also would prefer a fattier cut. The brisket as the burnt ends also lacks standout flavor. I'm not tasting salt or pepper. It needs sauce. I'm good with the results. It's brisket smoked for a tender outcome but it's missing magical goodness.
