Rebel BBQ - Blythe, CA

CLOSED June 30(?), 2025

181 South Lovekin Blvd

Established 2010

First Visited October 23, 2012

Guy Fieri needs to showcase this oasis on the California Arizona border.  How can such a fantastic BBQ/Pastrami joint exist in the middle of nowhere? Every time I've been in town, I have made at least one stop here.

La Casita Dos - Blythe, CA

CLOSED October 31(?), 2020

830 W Rice St

Established 2007?

I wonder how restaurants survive in small towns especially when it's located off the main street. La Casita Dos most likely gets less than it share of through traffic as a result of its  non-optimal location but the big lettering on the building side helps.

The lounge brings to mind the term lizard lounge. It brings to mind the 60's with its crescent shaped seating booths and vinyl backed seating.  Yup, the decor is stuck in the 60's.

Farmer's Table & Tavern - Blythe, CA

CLOSED June 2017

320 S Lovekin Blvd

Farmer's Table took over the building formerly occupied by the Red Cactus that went downhill fast seemingly from mismanagement or apathetic management.

How does Farmer's Table look and will it anchor itself into the community or will it fade just as quickly as its predecessor?

Wang's Palace Restaurant - Blythe, CA

CLOSED late(?) 2018

719 W Hobsonway

I read somewhere that where ever there is a town, there's a Chinese restaurant. That isn't 100% true but if an ethnic restaurant exists in a small town, most likely it will be Chinese.

Rosita's Mexican Cuisine - Blythe, CA

CLOSED June 30, 2018.  Click here for details.

611 W Hobson Way

Rosita's in on the main drag in Blythe. It's a sit down restaurant offering more Mexican American fare than authentic Mexican fare.

I had a burrito. I prefer Chipotle's where more flavor and volume are offered at a lower price.

Red Cactus Bar and Grill - Blythe, CA

CLOSED August 3, 2016

320 S Lovekin Blvd

If it weren't for the illuminated sign sky high above the restaurant, the darkness would lead you to believe this place was shut down.  It's only  a few steps from the Comfort Suites.
