Farmer's Table & Tavern - Blythe, CA

CLOSED June 2017

320 S Lovekin Blvd

Farmer's Table took over the building formerly occupied by the Red Cactus that went downhill fast seemingly from mismanagement or apathetic management.

How does Farmer's Table look and will it anchor itself into the community or will it fade just as quickly as its predecessor?

The Sea Bass wasn't an menu option but a substitute for another fish on the menu. The menu doesn't tag fish as catch of the day. Think about it. Fish in the middle of the dessert is almost an oxymoron but that's what our group chose.

The sea bass didn't have the just caught from the ocean freshness but neither did it have any hint of being spoiled. It just tasted bland against the over salted vegetables.  The cooks should have switched seasonings between the too. The sweet potato fries came with the a Goldilocks balance of saltiness and healthy.

What's my prediction on its survival rate? Based solely on the food and service, I say they will survive longer than its predecessor, subject to license, title, tax, and fees...

Probability of making an out of the way return: 0%
Probability of returning if in the area: 15%
