Volante's chef pedigree reflects in the decor. Someone fronted serious cash for the layout and the iPads. If only they invested that cash to provide superior service and food.
Luddites unite and fight the machine that is the iPad. Seriously, having a default 18% gratuity is capitalism and socialism's combined worst. It's greed breeding laziness. What incentive does the wait staff have to provide service? The waitress dropped off my plate and that was the last I saw of her. I didn't get a glass of water. She never came by to ask how the food was, like snake slithering off into the grass.
Three egg omelette for $12.50. The eggs were capable but not $12.50 capable. I can easily make better. The only item outstanding was the thick cut bacon but a fifth grader skills could cook it. The toast sat around for a while. It had lost its exterior crunch and had started its slow slide into chew toy texture. The neutral potatoes provided an offset for the slightly overly salty bacon. This was a $8.50 dish at best.
MSP and the management group overseeing Volante put profit over people, and stick it to the travelers with business expense accounts.
