I read somewhere that where ever there is a town, there's a Chinese restaurant. That isn't 100% true but if an ethnic restaurant exists in a small town, most likely it will be Chinese.

So with that welcome to Wang's Palace in waste land Blythe where chain restaurants and a few independent Mexican restaurants dominate. I don't expect much in terms of Chinese food in small towns as they cater to and often offer low quality to the ignorant American palate.

The menu listed some less typical foods and in particular it was the Thai offerings that caught my eye. I chose the Green Curry Chicken. Given the low expectations I had walking in, this turned out to be surprisingly good, a lot better than the quality of Chinese food typically available in small town restaurants.

I could see myself returning here if all their offerings were of the same quality.
