I wanted to be immersed in real Colombian food so I as asked the owner what I should get.  He made some some suggestions and almost seemed to steer me away from an offering that caught my eye, afraid that I may not suit the typical palate.

Even past prime lunch hour, a small but steady stream of customers arrived. I couldn’t tell for sure if these were first timers but because Phoenix despite being on the main street blends into the background.

Pancake Farm - Ephrata, PA

Pancake Farm is open early morning and it packs them in.  I'm told Saturday is the busiest with about 500 customers.  On this weekday there were a lot of customers also, mostly seniors who have time to burn. Service is retirement age slow if friendly.

Lily's, located in an office building, is a fancier establishment befitting the well heeled.  I was under attired compared to the Jones.  Nonetheless it is the food, not the black table cloth or the attire that make the restaurant.  Food prices were commensurate with the nice setting.
