Service was brusque Philly. What do you want? What else do you want? Be decisive. Don't ask questions. Don't waste my time. I presume the east coasters are use to this type of service as a steady stream of locals visited this shop.
Philly Cheesesteak. I ordered it onions and ketchup at the recommendation of my colleague. Ketchup on cheesesteak is not uncommon but it feels iconoclastic. The cheesesteak was made to order. The steak was cut thin and chopped fine and felt light and airier than typical. The roll was equally light, airy, and fragile providing a feeling of a light sandwich. The overall package didn't capture the essence of a Philly Cheesesteak.
Return visit July 23, 2014
Ordered the Pulled Pork special. The service was much more friendly today but the Pulled Pork for $5 was small although it would be an exaggeration to say it was White Castle slider small. The bread was airy and the pork tasted soapy with not much any other flavor. A definite no on the Pulled Pork.
