American Burger Emporium is clustered among restaurant chains as Chipotle, Noodle & Co, and Cold Stone leading me to believe American Burger is a regional chain but it's not.

7455 Currell Blvd

Walk in and gawk at the big menu board. When you're ready, walk up to the register and put in your order. I chose the Angus burger on white bun with the California topping (lettuce, onion, tomatoes - 25 cent option). The Angus burger was $6.89 with a choice of side which I chose skinny fries. The gal at the register was friendly and helpful walking me through the process. After she rang up the order, she handed me a number. Find a table and the order will be brought to you.

The beefy Angus burger was a definite step above even the better fast food burgers. The burger was well done but still moist, a tricky thing to master. The bun to beef ratio was about perfect and the skinny fries were a perfect complement. Compared against the ubiquitous burger chains, the American Burger is worth the extra few dollars.
