Food Network Kitchen - Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport ATL

CLOSED Early 2018?  It is now The Market by Food & Wine

Food Network expands its empire and influence. Is their food equal to their name? Is it hype or is it substance. Is it diluted airport food or is it as exotic as the food demanded of Iron Chefs, Top Chefs, and Chopped?

The languid employees display the enthusiasm typically reserved by one about to receive a root canal.

Breakfast Sandwich with "organic cage-free eggs, all-natural turkey sausage and American cheese on an H&F Bread Co. Pain de Mie Roll."

This is what I found upon unwrapping. Obviously the assembler/cook is not Top Chef candidate material.  This cook isn't Chopped material. Presentation is absent from her vocabulary. The bun is deflated like a souffle and wrinkled as a cold schlong. The bun appears to be gripped by a gorilla. I'm assuming the cook did a thumb check for cheese melt at this spot. If not, then the cook switch jobs from Delta baggage handling. Despite the lack of presentation, Food Network uses (gasp) quality ingredients. My mouth approves. The overall package tastes steps up from the typical breakfast sandwiches.

Overall, Food Network is a mixed bag.
