It isn't as busy as I thought it would be but then it's not centrally located. I expected a hole in the wall but it's a fair sized market with the dining area front and center.
So many choices and so little stomach volume. I settled on the Carnitas Tacos platter that includes two tacos, rice, and black beans. The rice looks like any typical Mexican rice preparation but has that extra special something that my untrained palate can't identify. Flavorful, textured with a slight bite and not pure mush. I am happy eating the rice itself. I'm not a fan of the black beans that runs bland.
The start attraction Carnitas tacos live up to the billing. The tortillas are fresh and I'm assuming and hoping made in house. If not, they're fresh sans stale corn smell and taste. The meat is pure melt in mouth tenderness but lacks pop in the mouth vibrancy. All the ingredients combined with the salsa makes for a comforting satisfying fulfilling meal that makes me want to return for more.
