Let's get the money question out of the way. It's expensive because they can get away with it and yet despite the high prices, it is continually busy. I assume the majority of customers have an expense account although I do spot a few families.
Legal's Signature Crab Cake Sandwich. It's as if I said to the waitress I'd like a lettuce and tomato sandwich with a dollop of crab cake. Seriously? The volume of lettuce surpasses the crab cake. The crab cake contains large chunks of lump crab and has the typical distinct crab taste. The filler is reasonable. Legal's crab cake lacks distinction. In a blind taste test I would be hard pressed to pick out Legal's preparation. Overall\ it is a good sandwich but is too much money for too little crab. The fries are crispy and the coleslaw is cold and creamy.
