Happy National Fried Chicken Day! Bok, bok, bagok! And then the chicken clucked no more fried golden brown.
National Fried Chicken Day didn't sizzle, but fizzled at this KFC. You would think a sign of some sort would be posted outside inviting folks in today or they would have a special posted inside like the $5 Fill Ups would be $4 today. Nope, nothing to commemorate today. The cashier seemed taken aback that I even asked.
So I got the 2 piece Drumstick and Thigh $5 Fill Up. The chicken pieces are tender and juicy but the thigh in particular had too much salt. It felt like my tongue was being rasped. POW!
This store is dingy and dirty. The low interior lighting doesn't help. The most offputting thing is the food tray. Mine had food crumbs on it as I got my food. They don't bother to wipe them. It's as if they take the stack of self bus dirty trays at the garbage bin and put them in the kitchen and take the top one to serve the next sucker. They don't even bother to put a paper place mat on the tray as a barrier as McDonald's would.
This particular KFC falls in the no return category.
