The masses decided today would be a great day to do lunch here to avoid
the expense of dinner fare. This translates into a lengthy queue and
wait time.
Eel salmon roll. Very good.
The dish on the left had wonderful wok hay flavor. It is the most favored item.
Bao. The bao itself is average, not as soft as it could be. The beef filling is a little rough but otherwise decent.
Salmon Head. Nice and fatty but not as tasty as expected.
Ichiban is typical of the AYCE Japanese restaurants in the GTA and settles in middle of the road. I can't complain about the food. The $16 shelled out for it is worthwhile. I felt I got my money's worth with this meal but lackluster service resulted in an uneasy experience.
