Lena's was established in 1959. Picture the Fonz/Henry Winkler today and transfer that image to the staff. Picture decor frozen in the 1970's. Picture food prepared in the 1960's. That's Lena's.
Sirloin Steak Sandwich. With the cheese and onions this may as well be called a Philly cheesesteak and its preparation qualifies it for a decent 70's era cheesesteak. The roll however borders on the type that should be banned from the food world. A slightly crunchy exterior with a porous interior reminiscent of biting into air. The sandwich is for the unadventurous that stay true to narrow bland routine in their food ways.
