Tonalli's sits on the far east end of Alberta street yet despite its distance from the hub of restaurant row Alberta, it does good business. Remote in distance does not equate to remote in distance from the minds and stomachs of folks.
Glazed Fried Banana. This is the first I had heard of a fried banana doughnut so I asked if had a sizable chunk of banana within. No but it has banana flavor. The doughnut was like an old fashion doughnut with the solid thick glazing that fissures on biting and a dense moist interior, one of my favorite doughnuts where I'm eating something substantial. The doughnut was too sweet for my preference but otherwise fine. Yes, it was still fresh even at mid evening.
