Lanvin French Bakery - Portland, OR

CLOSED 2021(?)

211 NE Brazee St # B
Madison South

I was curious if this was truly a French bakery or a hybrid French Vietnamese bakery. The latter is true.

Cream Puff. This wasn't the State Fair cream puff typically expected but a first for me. How could this be a cream puff? How dare they call it a cream puff? It looked just like a a glorified dinner roll and I was calling their bluff and bought one just to see why they called it a cream puff.

One bite and it was as if I hit by a hammer. Incredible. A soft moist cake with a luscious yellow oozing comfortable cream inside with a glorious mouthfeel. It was an almost OMG moment. It exceeded all expectations I could have had. It was by far the best pastry I had this year.

The cost was about $1.25. An unbelievable deal compared against Papa Hadyn's cake dessert I had recently at $9 and which was totally disagreeable.

I can't wait to get another cream puff...
