CLOSED 2019(?)
Petite Provence set up shop in the
pre-security area sometime third quarter 2014. I can't remember or even
picture the eatery it supplanted but it was doing better business than
its predecessor, surmising the travelers are familiar with the
reputation of Petite Provence on Alberta.
Grilled Tuna Melt comprised Albacore tuna salad with chopped onions, celery, carrots, tomato, and cheese on sourdough bread. It was made to order with an 8 minute delivery time.
It wasn't up to the typical high Petite Provence standard but it was above average airport food standards. Scalding hot made to order always makes food taste better. The cheese provided a pleasant mouthfeel. The tomatoes were fairly ripe and offset the dryness of tuna. The tuna salad per se was more moist and texturally smoother than typical tuna salad however portion size was stingy.
With the long line, the staff appeared harried. This location needs tuning to meet the standards set by the Alberta Street location.
