West Beignet is located in the pre-security area which is great especially for fliers who have just claimed their baggage. West Beignet has a steady stream of customers. Service was slow but was that a reflection of Louisiana or just the gal behind the counter?
This was my introduction to beignets. These were only warm and they were decent, slightly crunchy exterior with a soft, mildly eggy interior. If this is what beignets taste like at a no name establishment, then the beignets must be a treat at the renown beignet stops in the French Quarter.
This was a welcome introduction and a last hurrah to beignets before departing New Orleans.
