Friends said go to Lee Yu Man with anticipation of great food. Our first impression fell flat as the baht poh waitress bugged us numerous times before we were ready to order and when we ordered haughtily exhaled “You’re only going to order 3 dishes?” Why? Do we get a free fifth dish if we order four?
Grouper. Lamb Hotpot. Grouper is one of my favorite fishes and this dish turned out be competent but on the small side for the price. The Lamb Hotpot was also competent and again on the small side for the price.
Chicken black bean sauce. The trend continued with another competent but small sized dish.
The baht poh waitress tainted our entire outlook. The baht poh is a middle aged short nothing to look overweight woman whose only credential is her foul mouth. Lee Yu Mun is competitive at best, not standing out above the thousands of other choices available in the GTA. We’re taking our money elsewhere.
