I'm excited to dine at Morimoto's with his Iron Chef reputation but upon receiving my order, my first thought is has Morimoto eaten or even seen the food here? Truly he can't be the chef behind this pile of ingredients. How does he face the world having his name on this establishment? He sold out! Cat Cora's Kitchen at SLC is pathetic but Morimoto's Skewers is bottom of the restaurant barrel dreadful.
Chicken Bowl? I don't recall the exact name of this but my partner makes better food than this without even trying. A pathetic expensive small bowl of overcooked rough chicken barely stirred fried (more like overcrowded steamed) in a cold wok with vegetables scooped out of a warming tray plopped atop a pile of rice. I'm rarely this critical towards restaurants but with a big name chef behind it, this one deserves derision.
Skewer Skewers and end to this travesty.
