Only a few table were occupied when we arrived. That's usually not a good sign for Chinese restaurants in the competitive Richmond Hill area.when the most popular restaurants are busy every night.
Taiwanese chicken/Three Cup chicken. I expected steamed or boiled chicken but out came a stir fried version. It was decent enough but nothing the competition couldn't do. $10.95
XO Eel in the foreground. The dish contained very few pieces of eel at an overpriced $15. It was a decent preparation but the value was lacking.
Fish Brisket and Eggplant Hot Pot in the rear. The eggplant was about the best I’ve ever had, perfect in flavor and texture. The wok hay was at an ultimate level! I was in heaven and wondering how I could reproduce the flavors.
I'm leaning toward that the food is more expensive than the competition and that's why so few people dine here.
