On the outside La Fonda facade looks like a ramshackle restaurant on the Caribbean islands. One look at the outside and one wonders about the clientele and if one is likely to be pistol pointed into a dark alley for a mugging. On the inside it's a festive spirit lifting color ensemble. There is no ordering at the counter.

Compared against Manny's Torta, this was a letdown.
