Au Bon Pain and Fat Tuesday's - Pittsburgh International Airport PIT

I'm oblivious to airport specifics on arrival as my goal is to claim luggage and make a fast exit. On departures I have time to explore. My perception of Pittsburgh International is that is smaller than expected.
Twice I've been through Pittsburgh and twice the flights were delayed. This one is a doozy.

This gave me an abundance of time to walk every single wing in hopes of finding a decent place to eat. The terminal has chain restaurants with a smattering of independents.

 Au Bon Pain. CLOSED

Prosciutto and eggs on croissant. The operative word is on Pain as in English, not French. The croissant is terrible. The prosciutto is so salty I couldn't finish it. I've eaten at Au Bon before and it was never like this. Is this product reflection of having captive customers?

Fat Tuesday's.  CLOSED

I ordered a bowl of jambalaya. At $7, it was small, starchy, insipid, and overpriced. This was my first experience with Fat Tuesday's and it will probably be my last.
