Grand Buffet - West St Paul, MN

CLOSED 2015(?)

2015 S Robert St

A larger percentage of the customers were Mexican families and so it makes sense Grand Buffet caters to the majority providing a number of trays with ingredients for building tacos.

Typical Chinese buffet. Some of the more nonstandard items included the cold mai fun salad, steamed fish, beef tripe, chicken fried spring rolls, and spare riblets. Comparatively speaking, the items I enjoyed most were the stir fried salted split shell shrimp and the seafood soup with little bits of cilantro. The biggest disappointment was the disastrous sushi bland and with overcooked mushy long grain rice.

Grand Buffet includes a Mongolian grill which was not close to competitive with what we consider the best tried to date in the Twin Cities metro, BC Mongolian in Stillwater.

Overall the buffet doesn't even rate mediocre. None of the items ate were outstanding and many rate below average. Grand Buffet fails the grade.
