2951 W Diversey Ave, Logan Square

What:  Macanese pastries, Michelin one star

Pastel de nata, Ceylon Snickerdoodle, Malasada. All are uncommon and all are so good.  The biggest surprise is the savory Ceylon Snickerdoodle with a creamy filled center, which I didn't expect in a cookie.

Lower Wacker Drive.  I didn't know it existed until today. It appears to be an underground tunnel but it actually is a ground level street and used to bypass the busy downtown and Michigan Ave area to reach Lakeshore Drive.  Both Blues Brothers and Batman Begins featured this stretch.

 Missed Opportunity:

Fat Rice closed for a year and then returned rebranded as Noodlebird at Fat Rice.  Owner Abe Conlon was outed for his toxic behavior.  https://chicago.eater.com/2021/7/19/22583962/chicago-restaurant-fat-rice-controversy-reopens-new-name-noodlebird
