Rise and Shine Waffle. Chicken apple sausage link, over-hard fried egg, Tillamook cheddar and country gravy. When the cashier asks if I wanted gravy or syrup, I ask her which way is better and she replied definitely the gravy.
The waffle is made to order. I'm expecting a crunchy exterior waffle but the entire waffle tastes soft and indistinct with a microwaved texture. It's bready and not the texture I anticipate. The gravy is the right choice, thick and comforting and smothers everything with flavor. The sausage is lean. The fried egg gets lost in flavor among the gravy and the Tillamook. It's a very good toppings on a waffle that disappoints my taste buds. The foundation isn't up to par. 3 stars.
