Valentine's Day and not one couple is here for a romantic evening of food. Apart from this day of romance, traffic is light for a Wednesday. I would soon find out the service is a slow as the traffic.
Chicken Satay. It feels like a 15 minute wait for this dish. The grilled chicken lacks seasoning and the peanut sauce lacks concentrated peanutty flavors to enhance the chicken. It didn't have my tongue doing the dance of joy.
Chicken Karahi. I wanted the Lamb Karahi but was told they just sold out on lamb so Johnny on the spot said Chicken Karahi when I had put in a order of Chicken Satay. I rationalized it as eating healthy leaner protein. It's boneless chicken in a tomato sauce. The order is long in coming after the satay and when it arrives, I'm disappointed in the volume. I fish through the sauce to find a few pieces of chicken that is quickly consumed. It's white meat that readily separates into strands. The spicy tomato sauces has a muted tartness and imparts flavor to the otherwise bland white meat canvas.
I have tried a slice of their Thai food as well as their Indian food. Neither hit the mark this evening.
