Combo platter of 1/3rd rack of baby back ribs and 4 ounces of Texas style brisket. The ribs and brisket were decent as far as it goes for Yankee BBQ.
Of the two, the ribs were better. The ribs were moderately tender almost ready to fall off the bones, and flavorful but not smokey. They were good as is without additional sauce.
The brisket arrived sauced over and shouldn't have as it too much masked the brisket's flavor. Like the ribs, it lacked smokiness. The brisket was moderately tender and moist but I received a fatty blocky portion that would not have been able to hold up to slicing.
The broccoli was well cooked and flavorful. The cinnamon apple was like eating apple pie sans crust was unexpectedly delicious with the right amount of sweetness and melty smoothness.
I had not heard of Smokey Bones. When I arrived, the
first impression I had is that it is a chain but I wasn't certain but it
just had that look and aura. As it turns out Smokey Bones is a chain.
