Monday night is discount night on selected entrees, and the locals took advantage making for a bustling atmosphere. Cotton Patch may have been the busiest restaurant in Corsicana this evening.
The wait staff was all high school/college girls as far as I could see and the one serving me needed to work on her social skills and work ethic or beef up her acting skills.
Chicken Fried Steak. This was my first real southern CFS and it was by far better than any Yankee cooked CFS I've had. It was flavorful, juicy, tender with a wonderful crust. The white gravy with creamy texture completed the package. Southerners would probably rank this as mediocre and say there is much better. Let me know where it's better. I'm eager for more and better.
