What: The Drinks, Eclectic Bar Food
On a rainy chilly shadowy evening, Expatriate with its dim lighting, decor, and bar seemed straight out of film noir. Even the name felt like a nod to Casablanca. I came here for the water. But there is no water. I was misinformed. Also missing were the dames, fedoras, cigarettes, and cigarette girls.

Burmese Coconut Noodles with wonton noodles, curry, chicken, hot chili, and ramen egg. Shouldn't that be Myanmar? This was the most exotic item offered and potentially the most satisfying meal. The smooth textures of all ingredients created a nice mouthfeel. The egg and chicken were standout ingredients, especially the runny egg. This dish had good heat that rapidly intensified to nuclear as I worked down into the bowl. A good but too pricey bowl of noodles.

Unlike typical film noir, this eating had a happy ending.

Bottom Line: The Real Deal.
