What's with hipster running the joints for hipster audience and where do they get the money?
The Original Burger ($11). Always go with the signature burger. The shitake mushroom, roasted tomato, carmelized onion, Umami house ketchup, and Parmesan frico provided an eminently flavorful package. The 3/4 inch thick 5 ounces patty per the menu comprised "fresh blend of beef coarsely ground in house seared to medium rare on a plancha" arrived medium rare and was tender, juicy with a moderately beefy taste. Alas, the dense volume heavy brioche bun severely detracted from the eating pleasure. Rating. 9.1
Truffle Burger. Regularly cost $12 but on throwback price of $8. Sturdy brioche bun with high bun to meat ratio. Toppings included cheese. Meat: About 3/4 in. thick, estimated at 5 ounces and as per their menu "fresh blend of beef coarsely ground in house seared to medium rare on a plancha". It did arrive medium rare. Tender, juicy, moderately beefy taste. Rating: 8.9. Very good and earthier but less flavorful than the Original. Again the bun detracted.
