No foodie would call this stretch of I-94, where Tacos Juanita resides, a hotbed of heavenly food. Despite the generally positive reviews for Tacos Juanita, I found my order to be Midwest bland. In retrospect, I should have held out 2 hours for a plethora of riches in the Twin Cities.
Lengua Burrito with rice, beans, cheese, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The chopped raisin sized lengua was tender, mildly seasoned but sparse. The rice and beans dominated the burrito. The pico de allo lacked kick and the sour cream tasted diluted. The burrito missed mark without the anticipated bright zesty fresh flavors. This was white bread safe for the region's white bread eaters.
