CreAsian sits visibly along heavily traveled prime real estate Canal Street and offers above average Vietnamese fare.
We ordered takeout and despite the distance we walked to our hotel, the food and especially the pho broth was still tongue scorching hot.
Pho Dac Biet was typical, savory, comforting, and slightly a bit above average. It was missing bountiful basil and bean sprouts. The beef could have been cut slightly thinner.
Com Tam Suon Nuong? I believe that’s what it was. The grilled pork was typical smokey sweet and savory. The rice was a little dry but a liberal dousing of nuoc mam pha over the ensemble made this a dish to wolf down.
It doesn't rank with the best we’ve had but still good and a change for our stomachs from the texture, taste, and heaviness of Creole and Cajun cuisine.
