Key's Cafe offers typical American diner comfort food with a bent toward the Midwest palate meaning unadventurous food. It's decent if ordinary. If you grew up eatingtypical Midwest fare, Key's will be comforting. If you grew up eating food with vibrant flavors, Key's will be disappointing.
The Turkey Special Sandwich (I think) is disappointingly bland. Given this write up is months late, I can't remember much of the specifics. It failed to leave an indelible impression.
The wait staff are female and older. Service is cold and brusque, a cross between east coast attitude and Old World Norwegian which is to say Minnesota Nice.
