Pig knuckles and Sausage. That's what we wanted. Alas, the knuckles
weren't as universal as anticipated and the restaurants that offered it
were sit down and expensive at 15 euros. Plus time didn't permit a sit
down. So we got the sausage at a fast food establishment instead.
Puten Schnitzel and Thuringer. The thuringer was delicious as sausage goes and in comparison to the schnitzel. I don't know if the schnitzel was a preparation that had sat too long or if it was overcooked but that's how it tasted, overcooked.
German food typically doesn't get the love of the food world and if this is typical, then it's understandable why German food is rarely esteemed.
