Buffets are for those who want a lot of food for as little money as possible. Quality, quantity, cheap. That's the Holy Grail as just like the Holy Grail, it's a myth. You can combine quantity and cheap. Quality stands alone. Star Walk buffet certainly offers quantity with a selection of close to 200 different items and with an asking price of $12, you could consider it cheap. Quality is present on a few items but most are mediocre.
Although not pictured, my favorite food item was the drunken chicken. I probably had about 8 pieces.
The dim sum was available in sufficient quantity but the quality expectedly falls short of what you get from the steam cart joints. No surprises there. But hunger demands quantity. Guess with the two plates what state I was in as I eyed the buffet stations?
Two ice creams that are fairly common in the Toronto area are the green tea and ginger. Both are offered here. Its noteworthy that the ginger ice cream here is surprisingly refreshing and light.
Bottom Line: I would say it is worth the $12 especially if you're hungry and today the food was good enough to say it is worth a revisit.
