2615 Grand Ave. Now Chipotle

Judged by its exterior, Fernando's appears to be a modern well maintained restaurant. That perception changes when you walk in and it's dimly lit and the furnishings seem beaten and less than lovingly maintained.
The kitchen appears on the questionable side of hygienic. Do I stay or go? Food wins and takes my money.
In this case it's Machaca and it's a middle of the road rendition that doesn't taste like it's made with heart. I expected more flavors in a joint that appears divey and authentic. I wouldn't go out of the way to return here and more likely I would pass on stopping in again if in the area.
