World famous? I asked one of my Denver based colleagues if he heard of it. Nope. Maybe Boulder famous. My other colleague had been here previously and so enamored with this place that he brought me here. It's kitschy dark old with an odd charm.
Avocado Burger comprises a 1/3 lb patty, avocado, green chilies, sour cream, and melted pepper jack cheese. I'm expecting to be walloped with flavor and texture. Nope. The textures are comfortingly mushy but fails to elicit mouth excitement. The patty has a rough chopped texture similar to Smashburger patties. Not the most mouth pleasing. The patty lacks seasoning. The overall packing is lacking that oomph. The bun appears toasted but fails to add synergy to the package. A decent burger for what it is but nowhere close to being a top burger for me.
