I planned to dine at Calypso Hut but they were shut down for renovation so I walked the length of the strip mall and saw Indian and Caribbean options. Mo-Bay would get my business tonight.
What's the specialty I asked. He read the entire list off. That was helpful. I decided Ox Tail although I should have had the Ackee & Saltfish. Maybe next time.
The Oxtail is tender, slightly spicy, and saturated to the core with flavor. However it is too much bone and not enough meat. On the other hand I got a too generous amount of Rice and Beans. Mo-Bay does a good job on the rice and beans but not as great as some of the other Caribbean competition in town.
The coleslaw does a great job to cleanse the palate and I mean that in a good way. It's not mayo style but just clean and refreshing.
