This was one restaurant a Chinatown local recommended. She didn’t state it was the best but for the Chinatown, this was a fairly decent one. She said the best ones were in Monterey Park.

Rock Cod Fill with Black Bean Sauce. Stingy portion of fish but otherwise good fish when I was able to spoon one up.

Eggplant Chicken and Salt Fish Hot Pot. My favorite of the three filled with flavor and good textured eggplant  which is hard to come by for the home cook.

Deep Fried Pork Chop with Peking Sauce. Sweet, not what I expected and not crispy as anticipated.

The cooking reminded me of old school traditional Chinatown cooking as in Toronto’s Spadina Chinatown.  This fall shorts of being a recommendation.

This completed our journey to eat the LA Asian enclaves - Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Thai Town, and Korea Town.
