Asian Sweet Bakery serves Hong Kong style foods,
Wonton Noodle Soup was bland and flavorless.
Beef Chow Fun. They need to find their groove. It was one of the most unfavorable restaurant prepared beef chow fun that I have had. It had charred small slices of beef. It’s not traditional in the sense that it should have bean sprouts and green onion. The chow fun should be separated into individual strands and not clumped as if it was just taken out of the package. It was a sign of insufficient flipping and chowing which also resulted in tepid noodles. It had zero wok hay which is a mandatory component of this dish. Chow fun is an oily dish but this was excessive.
What happened to the cook that prepared the takeout on our first visit? Surely it couldn’t have been the same cook. If it was, he was having a terrible day. Service was also chaotic. The place was packed and it seems they need more experience handling unexpected large crowds. It’s still learning how to be a restaurant. We had been here on a previous visit and the takeout was surprisingly good so we returned to dine in, which can be difficult to manage with their very limited seating.
