Mention Caribou Coffee and it's impossible to not envision coffee. Would you envision food? Probably not. There's good reason for that. First, the food selection, especially hot foods, is very limited. Second, it sounds better than it tastes.

Take for instance their Chicken Apple Sausage Daybreaker which comprises "apple-seasoned chicken sausage and eggs topped with melted Wisconsin cheddar cheese on a buttery brioche roll" as their menu describes.  By this description, it should be an appetizing breakfast sandwich. But the reality is that is equivalent to a microwaved Burger King breakfast sandwich. Blindfold me and that microwaved tasting and texture bun would have me believing I was at BK.

It's not a up to a quality I would have expected from Caribou.
