Brain fart set in and I ordered a single cheeseburger. No, always go for the double! As a result, my first impression left me underwhelmed. It looks pretty nicely packaged but is "Where's the Beef?" thin.
Lost among the toppings, specifically the bountiful crisp fresh lettuce, the beef doesn't taste very beefy. The onions and tomatoes are properly proportioned cut but in combination with the lettuce, the entirety could almost be a veggie burger. The patty is lukewarm without grilled or charred flavor and just on the side of bland. The sauce tastes McD's Macs. The toasted bun is soft but holds strong under the weight of the components.
