I was driving around believing I was lost as I didn't expect to find Sofrito in the middle of a residential area. The neighborhood is a little rough, a place that puts a visitor on yellow alert.
Sofrito's is a bar for the local regulars where everybody knows your name. Visitors as I get slower service.
I settled for the Crab Cakes that came with an Urban salad. The salad was unexpectedly good but would have been much better chilled. The Crab Cakes were competent but it didn't differentiate itself from any other I've had in the area. The fries flavorful and texturally comforting became too much after a few finger grabs thanks to the heavy handed salting.
