JT's Hamburgers - West St Paul, MN

CLOSED Nov 2016(?). Story on closing

1224 Robert St S

Dive! Dive! Dive! This is classic dive food with commensurate dive quality. It's classic dive cheap at $4.99 for a Deluxe combo with a drink.

There's no mistaking this for a gourmet burger. Think White Castle Slider burgers on steroids. The patty is lost in the bun, tomato, lettuce, and cheese eliciting the ghost of Clair Peller Where's the Beef? When you manage to find the patty, you learn it's heavy in filler and light in beef. It's a delightful airy burger for those who like White Castle. The burger is made on the spot and ready in a lightning quick 2 minutes.

The onion ring side is huge. The rings have a heaviness of batter that holds the grease. It won't win any awards but it makes for gut wrenching eating.
